QA Surveillance Plan (QASP) Development

Quality Assurance Surveillance Plans (QASPs) are used by customers or clients to validate the quality control efforts of the supplier. QASPs recognize the responsibility of the supplier to carry out its quality control obligations and contain measurable inspection and acceptance criteria corresponding to the performance standards contained in the requirements document (e.g., Statement of Work (SOW), Statement of Objectives (SOO), Performance Work Statement (PWS)). The QASP focuses on the level of performance required by the requirements document, rather than the methodology used by the supplier to achieve that level of performance.

Ideally, QASPs are initially developed in concert with the development of the requirements documents and should contain information (definitions, processes, procedures) necessary for the customer organization to validate the quality of the supplier’s performance.

ThinkQ has extensive experience in developing QASPs for a variety of requirements, including warehousing and distribution operations, installation services, transportation, administration, Information Technology, and packaging. We have template QASPs which can then be quickly and accurately tailored to client-specific requirements.
